But what exactly is midimalism?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Designed for real life (ie not just Pinterest boards), midimalism champions spaces that feel lived-in but still intentional – where sculptural objects share shelves with sentimental bits, and \u2018calm\u2019 doesn\u2019t mean characterless. It’s style without the stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just the right blend of minimalism and maximalism, the trend encourages beautifully balanced interiors, where clean lines meet characterful touches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s thoughtful, it\u2019s achievable, and (thankfully) it doesn\u2019t require you to part ways with your favourite quirky finds or grandma\u2019s much-loved vase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A playful evolution of hyper-feminine style, the messy coquette trend blends \u201990s and Y2K pop star energy with effortlessly undone charm, inviting you (and your home) to be a little bit extra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis season is a celebration of pop princesses, who are dominating the top charts and providing the playlist to our summers,\u201d explains Dayna.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to our homes the ruffle renaissance is leading the charge with sales for ruffled curtains, blankets, and scatter pillows up double digits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bring a little diva chic into your home, Dayna suggests introducing a bit of fun via a hot pink ruffled blankets and some bubble gum-coloured cushions with bows. <\/p>

With Resortcore dominating the cultural zeitgeist this year, from TV dramas (The White Lotus), to chart toppers, we are seeing a love for island retreats infiltrate home interiors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIsland Luxe, also known as Resortcore or Tourist-Chic, is all about embracing the calming influence of island life, while making an intentional statement,\u201d explains Dayna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bring the holiday energy into your home she suggests adding lush green plants and tropical scented candles to your living room, while placing a statement fruit bowl that looks like it belongs beachside to your kitchen countertop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIntroducing natural textures like raffia, serve up that sun-kissed glamour with a touch of beachside indulgence,\u201d Dayna adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Ramirez from BB Interiors<\/a> says <\/strong>Island Luxe speaks to our collective craving for calm, nature and easy living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn a fast-paced world, people want their homes to feel like a retreat,\u201d she explains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis look combines the breezy, barefoot vibe of a beach house with sophisticated, elevated materials.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key to getting the trend right in your own home is balancing organic textures like linen, wood and stone with clean lines and soft, sun-bleached tones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt instantly makes you feel like you have checked into an exclusive resort, even on a grey Monday morning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria agrees that natural materials are vital to nail the look. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA linen slipcovered sofa, timber accents or woven light fixtures can instantly soften a room,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKeep the palette light and earthy and resist the urge to overfill the space. Less is more, every piece should feel thoughtfully chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis trend is all about shimmering silver and holographic textures, reflective fabrics and rich, deep blue hues that encompass the night sky,\u201d Dayna explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the trend expert Galactic Metallic is the futuristic evolution of last season\u2019s chrome craze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate the galaxy within your home, she suggests swapping out your ordinary lamp shades for half-moon-shaped ones, which <\/strong>have seen a +600% increase in searches across Etsy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/strong>You can also level up your kitchen with a few touches that are out of this world, such as adding crystal mugs, which are up +700% in searches on Etsy,<\/strong> and can be paired with a navy blue table cloth for the perfect cosmic meal set,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If silver accents and space-inspired artwork isn\u2019t your bag, however, consider giving a nod to the look via a moody colour palette. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ch\u00e2teaucore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While last year was all about the tomato girl, this summer we are seeing a love for all things traditional and romantic, taking inspiration from French countryside charm and vintage chic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn Etsy, France cottage decor is one of the top-searched terms this year, up over 26,000%, as people look to channel their own French novel aesthetic within their homes,\u201d Dayna explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria says there\u2019s a real appetite for romance and escapism in interiors at the moment and Chateaucore taps into that perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter years of minimalism, people are craving spaces that feel layered, personal and a little bit indulgent,\u201d she explains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is about creating your own modern-day country estate, whether you live in a manor or a one-bedroom flat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting the Chateaucore look at home is about mixing antiques, faded florals, ornate details and beautiful craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has a sense of lived-in elegance that feels warm rather than staged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s nostalgic, but not old fashioned,\u201d Maria adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To incorporate the trend Maria recommends starting with one or two vintage or antique pieces, like a carved mirror or a small writing desk, to bring a sense of heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLayer in soft textiles with subtle floral or toile patterns,\u201d she continues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you do not want to commit to wallpaper, try framed vintage botanical prints to bring in the romantic vibe without overwhelming the space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dayna suggests adding in some vintage glassware or ceramic glasses for a quaint, cosy feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/strong>Meanwhile, wicker and linen are the perfect materials to bring into your space, and are perfectly paired with intricately embroidered cushions,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step aside coastal chic, there is a new seaside aesthetic in town and it is all about embracing the raw, untamed spirit of the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cInspired by the real-deal fishermen and seafarers, Maritime Living is bringing a more rugged edge to classic coastal style,\u201d explains Dayna.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bring ocean-inspired tranquillity to your interiors with sea glass accents and driftwood sculptures, while incorporating dark rich navies and greens, along with soft whites, for a timeless elegance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And don\u2019t forget the stripes!  \u201cStripes are a classic staple, easily incorporated into your home with a striped linen throw, or some nautical inspired artwork,\u201d Dayna concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
