As a lover of colour, Prue joins kitchen manufacturer Omega to highlight its colour range \u2013\u00a0 at a time when we are all spending more time in the kitchen. Her ambassadorial role for the British kitchen makers gets underway this month as Omega explore what the typical UK kitchen looks like. This includes insights on interesting activities undertaken in the kitchen, and how many people are burning their baked goods!<\/p>\n

Colour psychology<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always had a love for colour in my own style and in my home,’ says Prue, \u201cso working with Omega to showcase the wonderful colour range they offer is really exciting.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cOne of the most important points for me, is how colour can make you feel. And as we spend more time in our homes it has become more vital than ever to ensure the home is a positive space for everyone \u2013 and colour plays a huge part in that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am really delighted with my new kitchen. It was tough to decide the final colour I must admit as there was so much choice, but the style, design and quality really all compliment it perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instagram foodie<\/h2>\n

Of course, Prue can be seen regularly in her kitchen at home via her popular Instagram page providing culinary inspiration. Most recently, she has turned to creating her own culinary how-to videos. For example, you’ll find out how to make homemade pickles, mix classic cocktails and zest citrus fruit without bitter pith. And, over the past year she has been joined by many more of us fine tuning our culinary skills.<\/p>\n

In fact, in April 2020 45,000 new photos of banana bread were posted on Instagram alone. Plus, a poll* discovered that 86% made cakes during lockdown. This data suggesting that the kitchen is more of a sanctuary than ever before. Now that lockdown restrictions are beginning to lift, why not recreate this gorgeous roast ham?
