New year, new house: Your chance to win two brand-new homes for just £10!

If you favour the mod cons offered by contemporary homes over the historical quirks that come with period buildings, Raffle House’s latest bonus offer provides an opportunity to win not one, but two brand-new properties.

Along with the chance to win a newly built barn-shaped home in the current draw for its £2.9m Cornwall Dream Home near the North Cornish beach of Gwithian Towans, the company is also now offering free tickets for a stunning new-build property worth £3m in Buckinghamshire.

Until the end of this month, anyone buying tickets for the Cornwall Dream Home will get the same number of entries completely free for the upcoming Buckinghamshire Dream Home, which is set to officially launch on January 1.

Those who buy more tickets will receive a matching number of free entries, so a purchase of 50 tickets for the current draw will be matched with 50 tickets for the Buckinghamshire draw

With both properties beautifully designed and offering close to 3,500 sq ft, players may have a tough time working out which one they are most hoping to win. The deciding factor is therefore likely to be location.

Commuters’ dream…

Set in the sought-after village of Coleshill in the Chilterns, the first draw of the New Year offers up a luxurious home surrounded by the stunning countryside the Chilterns is famous for.

Along with the numerous walking trails, leisure facilities and a local pub located in the village itself, Coleshill is just a five-minute drive from the towns of Amersham and Beaconsfield.

With the area offering a plethora of highly regarded grammar and private schools, it’s the perfect location for family life and crucially, it also makes for an easy commute into London.

Both Amersham and Beaconsfield stations connect workers to Marylebone station in around 40 minutes, while Amersham is also on the Metropolitan line, providing access to both West End and Square Mile tube stations.

And although it provides easy access to the City, the 3,400 sq ft detached property is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle, with the detached property sitting on a third of an acre.

Entered by a vaulted entrance area that features a floating staircase, the ground floor opens into an enormous S-shaped open-plan kitchen/living space. There’s also a formal dining area, a study, utility and separate reception room on the ground floor.

Upstairs, there’s a grand dual-aspect master suite, boasting far-reaching views over the garden and countryside. There are four further double bedrooms, along with two family bathrooms.

The mature and extensively landscaped rear gardens – complete with paved seating areas – provide great spaces to enjoy the sunshine during the summer months.

For times of year when the weather isn’t amenable to outdoor living, the house has been designed to bring the outside in, boasting full height windows in almost every room.

…Or coastal bolthole?

This is something the property has in common with the current Dream Home on offer with Raffle House.

The extraordinary newly built Cornwall Dream Home has also been architecturally designed to make the most of the surrounding views, with the 3,300 sq ft house split into two impressive barn-shaped structures to maximise opportunities for admiring the local coastline.

The £2.9m property is moments from Gwithian Towans Beach, a three-mile sweep of sand repeatedly named among Britain’s best beaches and crowned The Times and Sunday Times Best UK Beach 2024.

The area provides a world-class coastal lifestyle: early-morning surfs, walks across dunes carpeted with wildflowers, evenings watching the sun drop behind Godrevy’s lighthouse.

Lonely Planet describes Gwithian and Godrevy as a “must-see” stretch of coast, with sweeping sands, historic lighthouses and abundant wildlife. Locals and visitors alike value the slower rhythm of life, the connection to nature and the artistic energy that has shaped the area for generations.

Standing out confidently on the North Cornish coast, the property’s two timber-clad wings are joined by a porcelain-paved glazed hall. At the heart of one side of the home is a 39ft triple-aspect kitchen, dining and living room. Immense vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams and a wall of gable-end glass frame its sweeping long views. Doors open directly onto a south-facing sun terrace that’s perfect for long summer evenings.

Moving into the second structure, the upper floor houses a showpiece principal suite, a triple-aspect bedroom with a central bed positioned to frame the morning sea view and extending onto a private balcony. A vaulted ceiling, walk-in wardrobe and spa-style en-suite with rainfall shower and freestanding bath complete the retreat. Two further bedrooms and a family bathroom share this level.

On the lower ground floor, two more bedrooms, including a guest suite, sit alongside a family room opening onto a private courtyard garden. Outside, the Mediterranean-inspired terraces are bordered by landscaped gardens designed for easy upkeep and privacy.
